So today is really officially the day when my travels have come to an end. Although I arrived back in Ireland late last month, I’ve only spent maybe five days in total in the country following week-long jaunts to Glastonbury, Lanzorate and Benicassim, Spain. Needless to say I’m about ready to slow the fast-paced lifestyle of the last year and hit into some normality. Yeah it’ll probably suck in about a week’s time but it has got to be faced.
So, I really didn’t keep this blog as updated as I should have. Truth be told I was having far too much fun to have spent any time in front of a computer screen. This blog (for the one or two people reading) will now hopefully be updated more frequently and will inevitably feature lots of rants, reviews and opinions on music and film. Let’s see how it goes.
In the meantime, here’s some reports I did for the excellent State website (Best Irish Music Site of 2008 award winners) from what was an unlucky Benicassim Festival ever (Chaos, fires, cancellations, huge winds and near tragedies).
