DECENT piece here from Nadine O’Regan, which appeared in The Sunday Business Post a few weeks ago. I’ve only just spotted it. Lots of old arguments retreaded but some good quotes from Bressie on music fans and Stuart Clark and Tim Wheeler.
Most interesting though is that from Paul Gambaccini, whose always worth listening to as a pundit —”It is the end of the rock era. It’s over, in the same way the jazz era is over. That doesn’t mean there will be no more good rock musicians, but rock as a prevailing style is part of music history.”
