Not a great Electric Picnic bill, but a good one

So Arcade Fire are set to make a triumphant return to the Electric Picnic festival this September following their seminal 2005 set at the event. One of the best gigs I’ve ever been too, they were similarly on fire in The O2 last December. However, having seen them play an open air show at Glastonbury, there’s a good chance they’ll disappoint on the Picnic’s Main Stage, especially if the weather gets in the way.

Pulp will be a safer bet for the BIG headline show, while The Chemical Brothers are always stunning live. Looking down the line-up, Interpol are finished. They were only ok in The Olympia last November, while PJ Harvey should be great.

In all — at €250 a ticket — it’s not a great line-up. If you were on the ball last November you could have picked up an early bird ticket to Primavera (which boasts one of the best line-ups around) along with return flights for around the same price

The addition of day tickets for the Sunday is good but they’re a bit pricy at day tickets €99. Pulp will headline that night., while full weekend camping ticket will cost €240 and will go on sale at 9am tomorrow (Friday March 11).
