Review: Inhaler – It Won’t Always Be Like This

August 2, 2021

Inhaler
It Won’t Always Be Like This
(Polydor)

When Elijah Hewson roars “I could be Elvis on a Tuesday night, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, alright!” less than a minute into My Honest Face it’s difficult not to think of the father his voice so closely resembles. It would be a disservice though to Inhaler were their U2 association to completely overshadow their delicious indie-pop. IWABLT is as thrilling a major label rock debut as you’ll find, packed with anthemic hooks and the occasional baggy wig out. The kind of joyful and exuberant tonic we all need right now.
